The Blue Diamond Club is a luncheon club which especially appeals to senior Bristol Rovers supporters and their friends. It gives fans the ideal opportunity to meet in convivial and like-minded company, and doubtless regale each other with personal tales of games and players from yesteryear.
Lunches will be held at The Memorial Stadium, Filton Avenue, Bristol, BS7 0BF, on the following dates:
- Thursday 20th September 2018, with special guest Bobby Gould
They will usually include a three-course lunch at a reasonable price, followed by a couple of guest speakers drawn from notable personalities around the Club.
Supporters are encouraged to bring partners and guests to the functions.
The Blue Diamond Club is a stand-alone organisation of Bristol Rovers Football Club, which has the total goodwill and backing of the Board and Owners of the Club.
Steve Hamer, Chairman, spoke with www.bristolrovers.co.uk in June 2017 saying, “This is another exciting new venture which will, I am sure, bring more supporters into the ‘family’ of Bristol Rovers.”
The Blue Diamond Club has a constitution and an elected Committee to run it. The Committee currently (January 2018) consists of the following volunteers:
- Chair – Roger Brinsford
- Secretary – Mo Bell
- Treasurer – Alan Cavill
- Committee Members – Andrew Baker and Mike Tremlin.
