The Blue Diamond Club is a luncheon club which especially appeals to senior Bristol Rovers supporters and their friends. It gives fans the ideal opportunity to meet in convivial and like-minded company, and doubtless regale each other with personal tales of games and players from yesteryear.
Lunches are held at The Memorial Stadium, Filton Avenue, Bristol, BS7 0BF.
Due to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic we don’t have any dates in the diary for lunches, but watch this space and our events page HERE; we’re very happy to support our club by holding another lunch as soon as we’re allowed.
They will usually include a three-course lunch at a reasonable price, followed by one or two guest speakers drawn from notable personalities around the Club.
Supporters are encouraged to bring partners and guests to the functions.
The Blue Diamond Club is a stand-alone organisation of Bristol Rovers Football Club, which has the total goodwill and backing of the Board and Owners of the Club.
Steve Hamer, previous BRFC Chairman, spoke with www.bristolrovers.co.uk in June 2017 saying, “This is another exciting new venture which will, I am sure, bring more supporters into the ‘family’ of Bristol Rovers.”
The Blue Diamond Club has a constitution and an elected Committee to run it. The Committee currently (March 2020) consists of the following volunteers:
- Chair – Roger Brinsford
- Secretary – Mo Bell
- Treasurer – Alan Cavill
- Advisory Committee Members – Andrew Baker and Mike Tremlin
- Master of Ceremonies – Alan Cockayne
Can you help?
We are still looking for an additional member or two to join our Committee and, in particular, to assist with the sourcing of raffle prizes. We only meet together once in advance of a forthcoming Luncheon and conduct all remaining business by email.
If you are interested in joining the Committee, please contact Roger Brinsford via email@example.com
